Bronte   John and Brodie   Pemmikan BarEnergy Bars

The Dilemma of Chocolate and the Working Dog.
It is 1.00pm on a cold rainy day in Norfolk after a good morning's shooting. Beaters and guns are ready to take to the warm of the cart and enjoy a lunch.
The dogs have worked all morning and are entitled to something to warm them up but what is available? Chocolate bars, some energy but definitely not good, a bowl of feed will overfill the stomach and reduce the afternoon's awareness and the left over piece of sandwich will do little at all to keep out the cold.
Henne Pet Foods, based in Denmark have for many years been producing high protein low volume feeds for Huskies working in extreme conditions and via a new arm called Active Pet Feeds have transferred these benefits to working dogs.
The Active Pet Feeds Pemmikan bar or Energy bar consists mainly of fat, protein and sugar making it possible to give your dog large amounts of easily digested energy in a small chocolate like bar.
Ideal for working dogs throughout the season, being that a dog which is full of energy, never feels the cold and is alert throughout the whole day.
About 100gms at lunch time is enough to see your dog through the rest of the day but ideally the ration should be fed in three to four portions throughout the working day.
The maximum effect is achieved within 30 minutes and kept constant throughout the day.
