The Dilemma of Chocolate and the Working Dog. It is 1.00pm on a cold rainy day in Norfolk after a good morning's shooting. Beaters and guns are ready to take to the warm of the cart and enjoy a lunch. The dogs have worked all morning and are entitled to something to warm them up but what is available? Chocolate bars, some energy but definitely not good, a bowl of feed will overfill the stomach and reduce the afternoon's awareness and the left over piece of sandwich will do little at all to keep out the cold.
