English Springer Spaniels
For work, shooting companion or Field Trials

Working days in the field and field trialling.
All Nortonhill Springers are worked for their living, either in the beating line, picking-up line or Rough Shooting. They are also employed on a private basis for small syndicates/shoots, to work, flush and retrieve for the guns in walked up fashion. Working Springers are born to work, that is their heritage. To follow a good working Springer during a day's work is inspiring to say the least. The joy and inherited ability that they exude from top working bred stock, has to be experienced at first hand. No other breed of dog can fulfill that requirement for me. The reason I breed, train and work these wonderful dogs.

All Nortonhill Springers are also entered in field trials with good success.

Autumn/winter 2005/6
and a great deal of work to do out beating this season.
Much is made of field trials but I for one love to be out working my dogs.
Lady. Not just a pretty face and a great mum but a very hard working bitch at 8 years old. That's 56 in human terms and is still as an attractive Lady as ever!
After 4 litters so far, she loves to be out working with her sons and daughters and pulling her weight. A fabulous working bitch.

Not a mear two 10 minute possible runs in a field trial!
Not that field trials worry him. His first trial this 2006 season got him another Award.
He is a real working dog.

a well earned reward

Nortonhill Springers are expected to do it all and they do. They are full of excitement for any job or task I ask them to do and they do it well and love every minute of it. So do I!
Another enjoyable day out shooting over my dog Mist.
